when posting a question, there's a good chance that what you have asked may well have been discussed in prior threads. most of the time, if you quickly scan the thread titles when you open the different forums, you canl get an idea if your question has been addressed previously.
on the other side of the coin, there are thousands of postings now, in less than a year. hard to screen through all of that. so, i would ask those who may have posted answers already, if you see a new posting that has been previously answered, rather than replying, "hey, we've talked about that already" or something to that effect, instead post a quick summary answer and the link to the other thread.
if you do make a new thread, to help those in the future be able to search, make the title of the thread something that allows someone to figure out what is going to be discussed in that thread
keep it a helpful place where all feel comfortable about participating and contributing and we will all get so much more out of it. just my two bits
