Guaria de Osa is nestled in an ethnobotanical nature sanctuary surrounded by virgin rainforest, only a 3 min. stroll from one of the finest beaches on the Osa Peninsula, with a protected bay which is excellent for snorkeling and swimming. It borders Marenco Biological Reserve and Corcovado National Park.
Other pacific beaches of indescribable beauty are located within a short walk from Guaria de Osa, such as, Ro Claro, excellent for surfing nearly all year long and a favorite for swimming, with its cool jade green river and towering rainforest trees growing literally right down to the beach.
There are no roads here and access is primarily by a one and a half hour motorboat ride from the river town of Sierpe or twenty minutes by boat from Drake Bay's Airport. Guaria de Osa is a place for people who adore nature and wish to bask in its splendor.
The environment is superb for bird-watching, canoeing, hiking, kayaking, ocean swimming, scuba diving (trips can be arranged at additional cost), stargazing and surfing (surf and boogie boards are available).
Proceeds, in part, support the non-profit Grupo Osanimi/The Osa Foundations Biodiversity Conservation and Cultural Heritage Projects in the Andes and Amazon of Ecuador and on the Osa Peninsula.
