I think that this book is excellent within its scope and deserves to be mentioned here.  It  does not attempt to teach Devanagari script or Sanskrit grammar,
but is very good for correct pronunciation.  It includes two CDs giving the pronunciation of all Sanskrit given in the text.  All vocabulary is shown both in
Devanagari script and in standard romanization.

now i use david swenson´s dvd and book to help my practice. as i always need him to give directions (i get real sloppy if i practice without dvd as 5 breaths
get shorter all the time....) i really need a dvd to help my practice!! now i am looking for a dvd for ashtanga yoga during pregnancy. i have read that you
